AMD A8-3850 is a desktop processor, whose launch made AMD the second best manufacturer of processors just after Intel. AMD A8-3850 is available at a low cost, having incredible 3D performance. Another name for it is ‘Llano’.

Some Important Points To Be Noted About It Are:

This processor comprises of four cores (speed of 2.9GHz) and is dependent on 32nm manufacturing process. Each core also runs on 128KB and 1MB of L1 and L2 Cache respectively.
It has DDR3 memory (speed – 1866MHz) which is dual. The Radeon high definition 6550 (graphics hardware) is supported but this processor.
For AMD every new processor brings with it a socket (FM1) that is completely new. So to take advantage of the features of this new chip, the motherboard should support either the A75 or A55- the two chip designs.
A8-3850 like A6-3650 has 100W TDP (GPU+CPU) rating which is a very high mark.
The pricing of the A8-3850 is quite affordable and reasonable. The cost is $135.
AMD A8-3850 is not capable of competing with Intel processors of any kind in matters of file conversion and other multimedia operations.

Intel Core i3 2105 has two cores whereas AMD A8-3850 has four cores.
Clock speed of the CPU for AMD A8-3850 is 2.9GHz and for Intel Core i3 2105 is 3.1GHz.
L2 cache for Intel Core i3 2105 and AMD A8-3850 are 4x1MB and 2x256KB respectively.
L3 cache is not available for AMD A8-3850. For Intel Core i3 2105 it is 3MB.
Memory speed maximum for Intel Core i3 2105 is 1,333MHz DDR3 and for AMD A8-3850 is 1,866MHz DDR3.
Graphics core for AMD A8-3850 is Radeon high definition 6550 and for Intel Core i3 2105 is Intel high definition graphic 3000.

The AMD A8-3850 provides for a well-built plan of gaming and work at a practical value.
